Yep! You've read that right. Chocolates, the dark ones, was found to have positive effects on the health of our teeth. Flavonoids, the antioxidants found in dark chocolates, have been shown to slow tooth decay and tannins, the component that makes it dark and bitter, have been shown to stop bacteria from sticking to the teeth.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away but an apple after meal will be a good deal... for your teeth! Apples, although sugary, contain water and fiber which increases hydration in the mouth and stimulates the gums to keep it healthier. Because of its crunchiness, chewing apples will also stimulate saliva production that will wash away the bacteria in the mouth.

This is a no-brainer. While regular gums may actually damage your teeth because of its sugar content, sugarless gums are highly beneficial for your teeth. Chewing gums will stimulate saliva production which will neutralize the acid and prevent tooth decay. Plus, the mint variety will keep your breath fresh!

Green Tea contains polyphenols that either kill or hold back plaque-causing bacteria. Green tea also contains antioxidants that fight the bacteria that cause periodontal disease. They also help protect gums and other tissues from cell damage and bacterial infection.
Eggs are rich in phosporus which are essential for strong and healthy teeth. They also contain Vitamin D which is essential for calcium absorption.
Yogurt is rich in probiotics that will protect you against cavities, gum disease and even bad breath. Just like cheese, they are also rich in calcium and protein which will strengthen teeth enamel and will give you a healthier teeth.
